My late father used to have terrible trouble balancing his checkbook, and he was no dumb bunny. My hope is that this simple spreadsheet will make it easier for other people to balance their checkbook. The instructions are on the second sheet, the... more | Ah! There you are. | Nov 2, 2007 |
Nice to see you. Now, is there anything particular you would like? If you're looking for something more tangible, I recommend the photos section, or for music (with a story behind it) perhaps you will find something of interest in the blog pages?
Born into a musical family, I was determined not to be musical, so learned the recorder. When I started reading the Brother Cadfael mysteries that led me into the field of early music which in turn led me to building recorders, a clavichord and a lute. Notwithstanding that I am qualified as a graphic artist, my new woodworking skills led me into woodcarving so these days I am as likely to be working in wood as in watercolors, or making music. If you're looking for some free sheet music, I hope you will take a look at my blog where I present tunes that seem to be requested again and again, in abc notation together with a link to the amazingly useful online Tune-O-Tron converter which will produce sheet music, or a MIDI playback from abc notation, on demand. | I Found It On Multiply! | |

- In promulgating your esoteric cogitation on articulating superficial sentimentalities and philosophical psychological observation, beware of platitudinous ponderosity. Let your conversation possess a clarified conciseness, compact comprehensiveness, coalescent consistency, and a concatenated cognancy; eschew all conglomerations of flatulent garrulity and jejune babblement. In other words, don't use such big words.

He wasn't there again today.
But if you close your eyes and concentrate you can remember what he didn't look like.
- I have been struggling with two computers, using different Microsoft operating systems which have both crashed after a normal shutdown. On attempting to reboot, the operating systems are unable to get beyond the initial manufacturer's screen, and Googling for answers suggests that:
The problem is known to Microsoft
Microsoft has no idea how to fix it

- I know I'm early for Remembrance Day (11/11) but I've been reminded of the look in Guy Gibson's eyes the morning after he led the “Dambusters” raid. Courage is the determination to go on despite the terror.

My repository for recordings of the music presented in my blog. So this won't make a lot of sense as a playlist, but I hope you enjoy the individual songs, and perhaps, will be inspired to learn to play some of them yourself. | Reviews | Jan 14, 2012 |
